christmas 2012



6 months!

No way.  Time is flying, but we sure are having fun.  Harper Olivia... you are a little sweetie, always smiling.  You can sit up but still fall a lot when trying to reach the furthest toy.  You like toys that make noise when you shake them or bang together - favorite.. your keys.  Everything goes into your mouth.  You drool buckets, always wearing a bib.  Favorite station is the johnny jumper, you jump like it's your job.  You roll front to back.  You spit up, a lot.  You love watching your sister, and hearing you two giggle together is the best sound in the world.  You don't mind the car as much these days (knock on wood).  I personally think Christmas music is the trick.  You average 5-6 hours at night, apparently this is "sleeping through the night", but not in my book.  You've had peas, carrots and sweet potatoes.  You don't respond to your name yet, but I blame Dad for that since he's got us all calling you "boop".

preschool christmas program

Hailey's class started practicing their christmas carols about two weeks prior, and every day she would ask me "how many more days until 'my stage'"? Her Aunts, Uncles (uncle Tommy watched from Las Vegas from the churches live webstie), Cousin June and Grandparents all came to watch & she couldn't have been more excited! As soon as she walked on stage, she started waving to all of us just to make sure we could see her.

turkey day

To make our lives a little bit easier we decided that we will alternate Thanksgiving with our families. This year Granmda & Poppy hosted. Hailey came down with a virus so she slept through the feast. Harper was awake and I think wishing she could have a little turkey. This girl is very interested in what we do with our food, she tracks it from our plate to our mouth as we eat and has a big ole' smile on her face. She's doing great with rice cereal, but I am not... I go days without giving it to her because I forget! I vow to put a reminder on my calendar, because we should be onto other foods at this point. Sorry Harper.

Grammy fell head over heals for Harper, and I think the feeling was mutual.
