Before Thanksgiving we had Hailey's 6 months photos taken by the very talented Jocelyn. She kindly didn't post them until after Christmas as they were gifts for the family (who often check her blog). first christmas

Hailey's first Christmas couldn't have been more perfect, especially with all the snow. We continued our tradition of spending the eve with the Hinton's and the day with the Pesacreta's. Hailey must have been a very good girl the past 7 months, she made out like a little burglar!

I don't know why, but I just can't get over that it's been 7 months already! Time sure does fly when you're having fun... and fun is an understatement of what the last 7 months have been. The past couple of days have shown all the signs of her first tooth coming! I'm expecting it to pop out any minute now... stay tuned! Here are a few of my favorites from the past couple of weeks.

We left Hailey with Grandma & Poppy and went to Matt & Marnae's cabin for the weekend. It started snowing on the way there and it seemed like it didn't stop the entire time we were there, it was so beautiful. We had a fun, relaxing weekend and if it weren't for Hailey we wouldn't have wanted to leave.

Joe was very excited to have Hailey share in his christmas train tradition this year. She was fascinated watching it go round & round. Emma hid behind Hailey the entire time, she hates it.

hailey's first thanksgiving

Hailey spent her first thanksgiving with both the Hinton's & the Pesacreta's at home. It was our best thanksgiving yet! She was spoiled with tons of love & attention. We think she was kinda bummed when she woke up and everyone was gone. For her thanksgiving feast we tried giving her some mashed potatoes but they were a little too thick so she got pureed squash instead.

I like how he just plopped her up on his belly instead of setting her on his lap. And for those of you who think I'm crazy for already getting santa pics when it's not even Thanksgiving; I'll have you know there were only two others in line with us. No wait, no screaming kids, a little extra time to choose the best picture... a weekday at noon when every other child was napping, it was perfect! Hailey didn't hesitate going into Santa's arms; she couldn't keep her eyes & hands off his beard.

six month check-up

Hailey's doctor appointment went great. She got some shots but the nurse must have had the magic touch; Hailey let out only one little squeal. Joe & I were amazed!
and her stats we've been so eager to get:
26 3/8 inches tall - 75%

18 lbs 6 oz - 90%

her head is 17 inches - 75%

6 months!!

Hailey has her 6 month check up on Friday; I'm anxious to hear her stats. She is at a really fun age. She is now sititng in high chairs at restaurants & today she sat in the shopping cart by her self, which she loved. She let out little squeals and blew raspberries as we walked down the aisles; she had everyone smiling. She's not crawling yet, but is tolerating tummy time a little more so we'll see. Here are a few of my favorites from the past couple of weeks.

i'm not her favorite anymore

I was sick last week so have been bad at taking pics. Joe stayed home with her on Wednesday and pretty much did everthing the rest of the week; he even got up with her in the night and let me sleep in, in the morning. I kind of got spoiled, it was so nice! I did miss giving her hugs & kisses though. She got plenty from her Daddy, who is now her new favorite! Before last week it was clear that she was a Mommy's girl... well not anymore and Joe is loving every minute of it. She is sitting up like a champ and her hair is growing so fast lately. Can't wait until it's long enough for barretts & pig tails. Although how can you not love the headbands?

5 months

I feel like it's flown by and Joe feels like it's been forever. Is it really Fall, where did our summer go? Everyone who said enjoy them now, they grow so fast sure weren't kidding! Things Hailey loves right now, to name a few... Emma, splashing in the bath, giving kisses, seeing Daddy when he gets home from work, her swing, the book "the 5 little ducklings", exersaucer, and of course her Mommy. :)
