Hailey said her first sentence today, "where's emma's ball"... it almost brought tears to my eyes. She uses the word 'where's' a lot, like "where's Daddy, Mommy, Emma, etc". And it seems like each day she says a new word, but to say three words together - clear as day, made me realize that she's not a baby anymore; she's becoming a little girl. We were able to skip Hailey's 18 month check up since she got all of her shots at 15 months, so we won't go until she's 2. But based on my calculations she's all of about 24 lbs, 28 inches now.
We went to see Santa on Tuesday and I wasn't sure what to expect. She smiled & waved to him a couple of times while we were in line. Things were looking good. Then when it was our turn to go we took her out of the stroller and walked up to Santa. As Joe took the stroller to the side Hailey started crying and running after the stroller. I lured her back to Santa and tried calming her down. Santa said, "you know dear, we may have some tonsils". What Santa didn't realize was that she wasn't crying because of him, she just wanted to push the darn stroller around. I wasn't about to have a crying santa picture, when she wasn't even crying about seeing him!!
