Eventful Weekend

Hailey had her first sponge bath, Gramma & Grandpa Pesacreta came to visit, as well as a quick visit from Grandma Hinton & Great Aunt Mary. And she had her first dining out experience at our favorite place, Todo Mexico. She slept almost the entire time until it was her turn to eat, then she fell right back to sleep. Joe has been sick the past few days and it's killing him not being able to hold her. Hopefully he gets better soon, Hailey misses her Daddy's touch...
First bath (she didn't make a peep)

6 days old

Hailey had her first doctor's appointment yesterday and she's doing great! She now weighs 8 lbs 1 oz which doesn't surprise us, she's been eating like a little piggy. This week has flown by for us, we can't believe she is going to be one week old tomorrow.

Hailey is finally here!

Hailey Marie Hinton arrived May 17th at 3:33 am, we were very happy to get home Sunday after sleepless nights in the hospital. Hailey is doing great! She eats, sleeps, then poops and does it all over again.

10 days and counting

We were hoping for better news from the Dr today, but unfortunately I'm still dialated to 1cm. My cervix went from 70% to 80% effaced so there is some progress... The Dr said the head has lowered as well, she's now at -1. My blood pressure was a little high so I have to go back on Thursday to have it checked.

6 weeks to go

We had our childbirth class this weekend. We learned about the different stages of labor and talked about what Joe's role will be, as well as when we should go to the hospital. We took a tour of the childbirth center and saw where Hailey is going to be born. They also taught us how to swaddle and bathe her once we bring her home. They crammed what is normally a 7 week course into a day and a half which was a little overwhelming. Now we'll just have to wait and see if we remember everything. Our instructor suggested at this point that we should have the car seat in our car and ready to go! We are more anxious than ever.
