And probably will be the last time, for a while. During the day couldn't have been better; Hailey had a blast! We had the perfect weather, beach, and company - the Hunters came for a day trip! Can't say the same for the evening. After a few hours of failing to get Hailey to sleep, and a couple of tantrums of my own because I wanted to pack up and leave, Joe refused to give in and we stayed. She finally fell asleep laying on me, which is where she stayed the entire night...until she woke at the butt crack o'dawn.

Lately Hailey has loved having a blanket over her head and having us under there with her, so Joe decided it was time for her first fort. She thought it was pretty cool to say the least. Funny how having a kid of your own brings up childhood memories... I used to love building forts with my brother & cousins.

Deal or No Deal?

So I've been wanting to get Hailey's ears pierced for a while now and Joe has wanted to take her camping, neither agreeing to the others idea. So we made a deal! Ears pierced today, camping this weekend! :) Seems fair enough, until I'm up all night trying to get Hailey to sleep...
Hailey did really well while getting them pierced, she screamed for about 5-7 seconds max and has been fine since. I don't think she even knows she has them.

where is our sweet hailey?

The past week I've found myself asking who this moody kid impersonating Hailey is, whining 24/7 and throwing tantrums for no apparent reason? Turns out all this drama -that I wasn't prepared for nor handling very well- is due to teething... she got one of her lower molars. And on top of this she's had a cold, so all you Mom's out there can probably imagine the doozy of a week it has been. I seriously considered this just might be how it is having a toddler and that we may not have another kid for a while, if ever! I'm just cherishing each moment with my happy girl today as she seems to be doing much better.
On another note, I left my camera battery at Marci's - hence all the videos lately. This is from Baker's 2nd bday two weekends ago in Walla Walla. Kristin & Tyson went all out and got this huge blow up pool for the party, which was so nice considering it was in the 100's!

I've tried giving her a spoon the past month or so but she wasn't quite getting it. Until last weekend while we were at Baker's and she saw all the big kids using one, now she has to have a spoon at every meal!
